What's new in the Alpha 200i K? Compared to the Atemos 100, the Alpha 200i K is even easier to use with the 3.5-inch touch display and the additional function keys. The already pre-installed TopoActive Europe map is much more detailed than the leisure map on the Atemos devices. The map is regularly updated free of charge. A 3-axis compass and the barometric altimeter ensure even more precise location results. The GPS position is now determined via GPS and Galieo. In addition to the ANT+ interface, the device now also has a Bluetooth and a WLAN interface. This enables completely new ways of connectivity with the smartphone or the home network. BirdsEye aerial photos of the desired area can be easily downloaded via WiFi. BidsEye is now permanently free to use. With the Garmin Explore Mobile app, for example, activities can be checked and waypoints edited directly via the smartphone. BirdEye maps can be downloaded in the home WLAN without having to connect the device to the PC. The handset has a longer battery life (up to 20 hours).
InReach technology can be booked as an option. This allows the handset to communicate directly worldwide via the Iridium satellite network - even in the most impassable terrain - or to trigger an SOS emergency call in an emergency. What exactly is "InReach"? The InReach technology is characterized, among other things, by global two-way communication and an SOS emergency call button. Thanks to the Iridium satellite network, messages can be received and sent independently of the mobile network. The current tour can be shared in real time with friends through LiveTrack. The SOS button can be used to send an emergency call to the international search and rescue control center GEOS, which coordinates the rescue. This technology is an option, all dog tracking functions can be used without a subscription!
