The hunting blind heater may only be operated outdoors or in well-ventilated areas. The unit must not be used in enclosed spaces, below ground level, in living rooms, offices, kindergartens/childcare facilities or similar rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, high-rise apartments, recreational vehicles (such as motorhomes and caravans), on boats, in passageways, or in rooms or parts of rooms where explosive or highly flammable substances are present or may be present.
Even if the unit is equipped with safety devices, adequate ventilation must be ensured at all times. Ventilation openings with a cross-section of at least 100 cm² each must be provided for this unit.
The unit may only be operated with an intermediate pressure regulator. The outlet pressure of the pressure regulator must match the pressure specified on the rating plate. The rating plate is attached to the side of the heater. The pressure regulator must comply with relevant standards and be approved.
The unit may only be operated with a propane/butane mixture.
Check the presence and proper condition (no damage) of the seal in the cylinder valve (also after every cylinder change). Do not use any additional seals.
Protect the LPG cylinder from heat (e.g., strong sunlight).
Gas may only be drawn when the cylinder is upright.
Ensure that the hose is neither kinked nor twisted. The hose must be compliant with standards and approved.
The flexible hose assembly must be installed and routed so that it cannot touch any hot components.
If signs of aging or damage appear, the hose assembly must be replaced immediately. The hose assembly must be replaced with a new one at the latest after 6 years.
After installation and after every cylinder change, all connections must be checked for leaks using leak detection spray. Leak testing with an open flame is strictly prohibited.
Do not move the appliance during operation.
Check the unit regularly during operation to ensure it is functioning safely.
Do not touch the housing parts during and immediately after use due to the risk of burns. It is not permitted to make any structural modifications to the unit. These can be dangerous. When changing the gas cylinder, open flames and similar ignition sources (sparks, etc.) are not permitted nearby.
Always close the cylinder valve before changing the cylinder.
When using the unit as a stationary heater, place it on a level, stable, non-combustible surface during operation and ensure sufficient distance from flammable materials. The following minimum distances must be maintained: 40 cm to surfaces above and 10 cm to vertical surfaces on the sides. The necessary minimum distance to surfaces behind the unit is achieved by the mounting brackets.
When using the unit as a wall heater, a minimum distance of approximately 30 cm from the floor is recommended. This ensures optimal air circulation.
Only the supplied brackets may be used for setting up or hanging the device.
Repairs and maintenance work may only be carried out by authorized personnel.
Setup and commissioning should not be performed by persons requiring assistance or those who are physically or mentally incapable of doing so.
